Pettitte Stays

The Associated Press reports the Yankees have agreed to a one year deal with their beloved pitcher.

Andy Pettitte will be getting $5.5 million for his services. That’s not all. He can “an additional $6.5 million on performance bonuses and bonuses based on time on the active roster”.

Oooo! A whole $2 million more. He should’ve just signed the guaranteed $10 million contract that was offered.

As much as i hate the Yankee$, i’m happy that they will keep Pettitte for the 09 season. Pettite should be there for the 1st season at the new Yankee Stadium and should retire a Yankee after the 09 season. for all he has done over the years for the Yanks he should go out as a Yankee.
