A Message From The President

By / February 9, 2009 / Uncategorized

Adam Rubin from the NY Daily News reports that Florida Marlins president, David Samson, made a comment regarding the Mets to the five Marlins fans who showed up to a rally for their who-could-care-less team.

He claims the Mets front office placed a call to MLB requesting that the Mets do not close the season against the Marlins.

Really? I doubt that. I will say I was hoping the Mets would not face them.

Even if it were the case, who the heck cares? The Marlins fans. I could count on two hands how many fans they have. The games they get the biggest attendance are when they face the Mets.

The Marlins have no fan base. This is why they are having such a hard time getting a new stadium. Nobody cares about that team. People care more about the Washington Nationals than the Marlins.

Pitiful!

Samson, worry about actually getting Marlins fans, not Mets fans, into your seats. Let me know how that goes for you. Pathetic!
