Alex Rodriguez was set to have arthroscopic surgery to repair the torn labrum this morning at 7am, the New York Post reports.
The Yankees put their ridiculously paid employee in the hands of Dr. Marc Philippon. This is the same man who operated on Luis Castillo and look at Castillo now. Wow! Good luck with that, Yankees.
The surgery was decided after Dr. Philippon convinced the Yankees it was the best solution rather than having A-Rod play through the season and draining the cyst.
A-Rod will still need an additional surgery. Thanks to the great doctor, it can wait until after the season.
A-Rod will be missing six to nine weeks. He is expected to be back with the Yankees sometime in May.
I wonder who is “nurse” will be.
