Manny Used A Fertility Drug

By / May 7, 2009 / Uncategorized

Here is the latest on what it was that Manny Ramirez used.

According to ESPN.com, what Manny tested  positive for was human chorionic gonadotropin.

…is a women’s fertility drug typically used by steroid users to restart their body’s natural testosterone production as they come off a steroid cycle. It is similar to Clomid, the drug Bonds, Giambi and others used as clients of BALCO.

Here it is in plain english:

A source with intimate knowledge of steroids told ESPN that a male athlete usually uses HCG after a cycle of steroids because steroids often shut down the testosterone-making ability of the testicles.

HCG restores their capacity to make testosterone. The source said that some males may use HCG in lieu of steroids also. HCG by itself can provide a substantial boost in the bodies own testosterone, and this may provide some performance-enhancement benefits.

Well obviously this is not good. It can make everybody who believes him, can now start to question him.

Why would a doctor prescribe a woman’s fertility drug to a man? Apparently, it would only be in a situation for a man who is using steroids.

You still have to ask the question how it is that he never got caught before if he had taken steroids in the past.

Here’s something I’ve started to think about. It seems that quite a few of Scott Boras’ clients are the ones getting caught using steroids. Could Boras be promoting the use?

It could happen. He just wants money at whatever the cost. It would never be traced back to him. Boras can just tell his clients to see such-and-such doctor to get a prescription for something.

Here’s a list of the ones caught: Alex Rodriguez, Gary Sheffield (former client), Barry Bonds (former client), Kevin Brown, Eric Gagne, Scott Schoeneweis. To see the full list, go to the Daily News page.

Coincidence? Bull! I don’t believe in coincidences. According to the Daily News, Brown even used Boras’ headquarters as a return address for his shipment.

If this is true, if Boras is encouraging this from his clients, he should be banned from baseball. Maybe he should be investigated.

Just something for you to think about.

I think you’re on to something with Boras. Fixing the financial aspect of the game will start with banning Scott Boras.

Great Blog as always Ms.T. I Really think you’re on to something with Bora$. Let’s think about it, if his clients juice up and get video games stats every year, you know some owner is gonna pony up some BIG time moolah for his clients. guess who gets a bigger cut of that moolah? Keep up the great work Tanya.
