Milledge: Oh How The Mighty Have Fallen

By / June 30, 2009 / Uncategorized

There is no love in baseball for Lastings Milledge. The man who was supposed to be the star of the outfield for the New York Mets has fallen so far from grace not even the Washington Nationals want him

They have sent him packing to the Pittsburgh Pirates along with RHP Joel Hanrahan.

The Pirates gave up OF Nyjer Morgan and P Sean Burnett.

Nobody wants Milledge except the Pirates. So sad!

This is what happens when you think you are the hottest thing since sliced bread. You are proven that you aren’t.

Congratulations! Now you play for a team that if they finish below .500, they will break the record for most consecutive losing seasons which was previously held by the Philadelphia Phillies.

You are the man! I guess now you really know you’re place…until the Pirates decide to move you.
