Sharing The Injuries

By / April 22, 2010 / 2010 Season, Injuries

Hehehehe! I know it is cruel, but I am finding this injury season amusing. Thanks be to the SI gods. It was the Mets that were laughed at with all of the injuries. Well, we have decided to share the wealth.

The Philadelphia Phillies have added yet another pitcher to their growing disabled list. Pitcher J.A. Happ has been placed on the 15-day dl with a sore left forearm. It is retroactive to April 16, but some are saying he may not be back until mid-May.

Another player is Placido Polanco. He is day-to-day due to a bruised elbow. He was hit by a pitch. Oh ow! Mommy, I can’t play. It hurts. I get bruises all the time and I still do my job. To each his own. I”m not going to argue. What is one less Phillie to me?

Here is what is getting me mad. With the Phillies going down one by one, the Mets are not making any moves. They insist on staying in the cellar. This is the time they should be taking advantage of the injuries.

So get it together Mets. Get this season going. Start climbing up the NL East.
