He should have quit while he was ahead. Oh wait! He could not for he was fired. I guess he did not get enough time in the spotlight last year and is seeking more.
Yes I am speaking about none other than the illustrious Tony “Phony” Bernazard. By now you have all heard the story about how he is blaming the media and the Mets for his firing. He feels the Mets could not handle the pressure of the media and they fired him without reason.
Here is my favorite quote of the day from him:
When people are covering their (rear ends), they don’t do things that are right.
What is the Mets’ history when things don’t go right? They pick somebody, sometimes one person, sometimes other people. I was it.
Phony should know. He wrote the book on it. Maybe he forgot how he did Willie Randolph wrong. Well, you know what they say about karma.
Dear Phony Bernazard, what goes around comes around.
Did you really think that at some point you were not going to get yours? You were only kidding yourself you naughty boy. So instead of just keeping quiet and letting bygones be bygones, you insist, after nearly a year of your firing, to open your mouth. Wouldn’t you know it. You still came out looking like a donkey’s behind.
He says the Mets used him as a scapegoat for the 2009 season. Really? I thought it was Omar Minaya who was considering how awful he had been portrayed all of last year, especially after the fiasco that involved Adam Rubin. Oy! The thought of that makes my head hurt.
Then of course he has a reason for everything that happened. The shirt incident was the funniest. Phony claims that he rode a bike for 55 miles before a meeting. He was hot and his body was releasing the heat. So he took off his shirt.
Does he really expect anybody to believe that load of crock? Seriously? What moron in his right mind rides his bike for 55 miles before a meeting? The he goes and says:
What a crime! I took my shirt off. By the way, I always wear a T-shirt.
Hmmm. So not only is he a creep, he is a stinky creep. Bernie apparently did not take a shower after the ride to cool his body down. I guess he did not drink water either.
No matter what he says, he will always be the bad guy. He is just pissed that he got caught and was disgraced in front of the entire baseball nation.
Well, that should teach him. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You poop on people, people will poop on you too.
