Phillies Injured Mounts

By / June 29, 2010 / 2010 Season, Injuries

You have to love it. You really do. What goes around, come around. Keep that in mind.

Yes we have more Philadelphia Phillies players being admitted onto the DL list.  You will be happy with this name. I know I sure was a little ecstatic.

One player is Chase Utley. He seemed to have sprained a ligament in his right thumb while sliding into second base last night in the Phillies-Reds game. He will be out for 15 days and will miss the All-Star game.

Player number two is Placido Polanco. Despite receiving a cortisone shot in his right elbow where he is feeling “soreness and discomfort”. He will miss the Mid-Summer Classic as well.

Aw. So sad! Their replacements are said to be Greg Dobbs and Brian Bocock.

These injuries come at a perfect time. With the Phils already in third place, they can ill-afford to have these guys on the DL. The Mets need to push these guys even farther in the standings. I hate to say it, but so do the Braves. I do not mind if it is a fight for the top between Mets and Braves. Only if it is Mets, Braves, and Phillies. This is the perfect time to strike.
